Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Coordinator helps to implement CUIMC HR’s DEI strategic plan/goals and supports various DEI/HR programs and initiatives. The incumbent will report to the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer- Staff and provide administrative support to the CUIMC HR DEI team. Assists with the execution of relevant programming, training, talent acquisition and other CUIMC initiatives to promote employee development and engagement to continue fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace for all CUIMC staff.

Responsibilities
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (80%)
  • Supports diversity and inclusion initiatives, as set by the Staff Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, CUIMC Staff Diversity & Inclusion Council, and strategic plan.
  • Schedules and participates, as appropriate, in CUIMC Staff D&I Council and Steering Committee meetings, employee resource group meetings and relevant regular events/programs.
  • Oversees the tracking and management of ERG members, event surveys and program related events and activities.
  • Participates in DEI project/program planning and execution.
  • Supports the Staff DEI team with assessing and organizing data in response to CUIMC Affirmative Action Plan, quarterly staff D&I reports and industry surveys.
  • Assists with the tracking/maintaining of expenses charged to DEI budget.
  • Communicates to vendors for D&I events and manages the procurement processing.
  • Assists the Staff Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team with drafting communication of activities
  • Maintains CUIMC Staff diversity & inclusion website, including the DEI events calendar, newsletter, and social media sites.
  • Assists with other diversity and inclusion needs, as necessary.
Talent Acquisition (20%)
  • Supports Talent Acquisition and management strategies for CUIMC HR.
  • Oversees resume bank and external recruitment partner relationships.
  • Supports hiring events virtually and in-person.
  • Maintains recruitment intranet site content.
  • Partners/collaborates with CUIMC’s departments/schools/institutes on hiring initiatives/strategies.
  • Assists with other talent acquisition and sourcing needs, as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in education and experience plus three (3) years of related experience. Experience with diversity programs or event planning experience preferably in a higher education environment. Must have a sense of creativity and enthusiasm.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and online survey tools.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and data analysis strongly desired.
  • Organized, adaptable, agile, with strong follow up.
  • Creative and innovative thinker who is results oriented.
  • Facilitation public speaking skills strongly desired.
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and respectful manner while appreciating the unique contributions of an inclusive workforce that brings together the talents of people across multiple identities.
  • Professional HR certifications (HRCI, SHRM) a plus.
  • Project and program management experience are essential.
  • May need to travel to assist with program implementation at worksites.
