Kinder-Start Daycare is part of the Early Head Start program, that serves infants and toddlers. We focus on providing support and resources for families as well as the an intensive comprehensive child development for the children in our care.

Qualification:

• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school dipolma or GED
• Have to pass a DCYF background check and TB test
• Current First Aid/HIV, child CPR, food handlers certification required
• Passion for children

We are looking for an Assistant to join our team at an excellent in home childcare in our area. The ideal candidate for this position is energetic, motivated and has strong time management skills. A successful candidate will assist in the daily routine of the childcare center by providing care for young children and supervising their play. They will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of educational activities, managing the flow of students from classroom to classroom, preparing snacks and helping with the general upkeep of the center.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the daily operation of a daycare facility.
• Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the facility.
• Be patient and kind with the children under your supervision.
• Attend to the emotional needs of children without adult supervision.
• Advocate for the safety of children at all times.
• Know a bit about first aid for minor injuries.
• Understand developmental milestones for children by age levels.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
