Summary:
Goldbelt CP Marine, LLC is looking for a Database Administrator.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
  • Install, configure, and maintain database management systems and software.
  • Design, implement, execute, and tune databases and database load programs, scripts, and procedures. Implement data management standards, requirements, and specifications. Install and configure certificates for data at rest. Manage certificates/keys for data at rest.
  • Monitor and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance. Complete STIG’s and POA&M items as required.
  • Manage the compilation, cataloging, caching, distribution, and retrieval of data.
  • Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements.
  • Perform configuration management, problem management, capacity management for databases and data management systems.
  • Perform backup and recovery of databases to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform incident management, service-level management, change management, release management, continuity management, and availability management for databases and data management systems.
  • Notify the NADACS Program Manager/Project Manager and/or designated representative of database degradations or issues.
  • Provide application administration to include, but not limited to, compiling database code, compiling security matrices, providing status updates, creating new databases for applications/tools, and troubleshooting issues and providing resolution.
  • Implement data mining and data warehousing applications and support when applicable.
  • Responsible for NADACS Cybersecurity and security posture across all NADACS databases and data management systems according to organizational policies. This responsibility includes, but not limited to maintaining the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Computer Network Defense (CND) Directives, and all other DoD/Navy Cybersecurity instructions as they become applicable, such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), to keep NADACS systems in compliance.
  • Provide recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.
  • Administer access requests to the database environments within NADACS PMO directed Service Level Targets (SLTs).
  • Provide after hour support as needed. For planning purposes, the following estimates can be used, but extenuating circumstances and unforeseen system issues could increase actual hours required. Routine after-hours support on a weekly basis is 10 or less hours. Quarterly, patching after hours is required and this would require approximately 12-15 hours.
  • Complete After-Action Reports (AAR) for all abnormal operations or other required reporting for system incidents.
Qualifications:
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • In-depth understanding of Database design principles, best practices, and established standards.
  • In-depth understanding of Database optimization (memory, disk, CPU, network resources).
  • In-depth understanding of Data access through an ORM.
  • Experience working as part of a large development team.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment using agile/scrum development methodology.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with military personnel, government civilian staff and technical experts.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Certifications: IAT Level 2, Security + CE
  • Minimum four (4) or more years of experience in SQL database design, database programming, and database optimization.
  • Minimum four (4) or more years’ experience writing stored procedures, user-defined functions, views, etc.
  • Must have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.
  • U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data migration.
  • Experience with data analytics.
