ORGANIZATION MISSION:

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast is to provide high-quality, out-of-school Club experiences to ensure our young people, especially those who need us most, are on track to graduate from high school with a plan for their future, demonstrate good character & citizenship, and live a healthy lifestyle.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Director of Grants, the Data & Outcomes Analyst will manage the collection, analysis, input, and interpretation of data related to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast’s program outcomes, performance metrics and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will show passion for youth, be able to articulate how they steward resources, identify how integrity relates to the position, and have a history of demonstrating respect for all contacts including clients, peers, agency partners, and the general community.

TRAVEL:

Travel will be required to multiple Club facilities throughout Pinellas County, and/or training and other business purposes.

Requirements:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain knowledge base in subject areas related to BGCS program services, including Literacy program, and all other services
  • Assist in the implementation of systems that support a data-driven continuous improvement model for Club programs
  • Conduct data analysis to support evaluation, dissemination, and answer organization-wide research questions
  • Develop and maintain data warehousing of data pulled from multiple sources to consolidate for reporting purposes
  • Manage outcomes and deliverables related to contracts and partners regarding the Literacy program
  • Assist with the development and deployment of custom applications and custom report distribution
  • Analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Develop short, mid-range, and long-term data analysis plans
  • Identify and remedy inefficient data processes
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems and data entry issues
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Work with appropriate staff at each Club to ensure proper data input and consistency
  • Develop research fact sheets, presentations, and quarterly and annual “result” reports
  • Assist in other areas as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology or related Social Sciences field from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 1 year work experience in business intelligence, systems analysis, outcomes measurement, or a related field
  • Ability to present information effectively
  • Experience conducting statistical analysis
  • Experience with statistical analysis and database software
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of research methodology and techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility and good humor
  • Demonstrates a relentless commitment to excellence in all tasks
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external constituents
