Who is Costa Farms? We’re one of the world’s largest horticultural growers—but without an ego to match our acreage. Our headquarters are in Miami, Florida, where we were founded in 1961. Costa Farms started on just 30 acres, and over the last 60 years, we’ve grown to more than 5,000 acres around the world. We have farms in North and South Carolina, Central and South Florida, and the Dominican Republic, plus an office in China. Costa Farms now employs nearly 6000 engineers, marketers, accountants/analysts, human resources professionals, and of course, growers and plant scientists!

General Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Business Intelligence team for the role of Data Analyst. We require this individual to be self-managing and motivated to conduct thorough data analysis, help design and implement analytics programs, generate reports, and collaborate with various teams in the organization. Additional attributes listed below are also desirable:

Duties & Responsibilities - Primary 80% (Essentials)

• Analysis of business data using various modeling techniques
• Development of actionable insights and recommendations for business operations
• Implementation of systems to capture business operation data that ensure data quality
• Creation of enterprise and ad-hoc reports
• Documentation of processes and version control
• Other development duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Full time – flexibility to work extra time if needed.
• Work in a fast paced and diverse environment.
• Works in an office environment.
• It is a remote role.
• Problem solving, oral/written communication, analytical ability, calculating, concentration, & interpersonal abilities continuously.

Work Experience required for this role

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science or equivalent information technology work experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in relational database data analysis, using Microsoft SQL Server technology stack to build queries (T-SQL), perform transformations (ETL) and automate processes
• Minimum 2 years of experience with data modeling and data warehousing using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) or Power BI, including DAX
• Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Minimum 2 years of experience with advanced features in Microsoft Excel, such as Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, and Data Import
• Microsoft certifications in database, reporting, or development areas are a big plus
• Experience with Azure cloud computing, including Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Factory is a plus
