Position Description:
Divine Child Elementary School is seeking applicants for a full-time CYO Athletic Director &
Dean of Student Life, who fulfills the mission of the school by working with the DCES principal
in the management of the school, faculty, staff, and students with an emphasis on CYO Athletics,
student life and student discipline. This position reports to and is evaluated by the ES principal.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the coordination, supervision and evaluation of our CYO Athletic
- Responsible for supervision of student conduct and behavior at athletic events
- Responsible for the scheduling of athletic events and the coordination of the facilities
- Supervision of school-related activities, clubs, and student life
- Monitor student-athlete academic performance and eligibility
- Ensure that all proper athletic documentation for coaches, volunteers and student
- Collaborate with the HS Athletic Department around K-12 program vision and system,
- Serve as the ES representative on the FAC (Falcon Athletic Club)
- Attend AOD CYO Meetings
- Communicate effectively with parents, students and greater community
- Coordinate and collaborate with the ES principal on School and AOD initiatives around
- Visible presence in the building during lunches and recesses
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Committed to the principles of Catholic, faith-based education
- Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management And/Or MA in Ed. Leadership preferred
- 3 years of administrative or supervisory experience is preferred
- 5 or more years of teaching or school-based experience
- CYO/HS Athletic leadership experience
- Familiarization with CYO athletics standards, requirement and protocols
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, lead and work collaboratively with faculty and staff
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Innovative and creative
- Working knowledge and comfort with Google and Microsoft Office applications
- Team building and collaborative working relationships
