We are looking for enthusiastic, positive and customer focused people to join our team working from our Bristol City Centre office. You will play a key role in providing information and support to a global customer base and creating a unique customer experience through both an inbound calling line and responding to emails.


Job Overview

Start Date: Monday 12th December

Salary: £20,650.50

Site: Spectrum House - office based in Central Bristol

Shifts: Full time, 37.5 hours working 5/7 days - Monday to Friday 8am - 10pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am - 6pm

Training Duration: 4 weeks

Contract: Permanent


As a member of our Team at Teleperformance working on behalf of the Guardian Media Group you will be the first point of contact to assist subscribers with:

  • Subscription queries
  • Billing questions
  • Account management, such as cancellations or updating details
  • Delivery issues
  • General enquiries

Guardian Media Group are a global news organisation with teams in the US, Australia and the UK producing theguardian.com, Guardian Australia, Guardian US, Guardian Weekly, and the Guardian and Observer newspapers in the UK.


We provide full training and support with two weeks’ classroom training (paid of course) and a further two weeks of training on the call floor and where you’ll take your first live calls. We make it our responsibility to look after you with full support from experienced members of the team on hand to help.

You would need to be available to start from Monday 21st November and be able to attend the 4 weeks training in full, Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm.


The team are available Monday to Friday between 8am and 10pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am to 6pm and once in the role you’ll work 37.5 hours a week on a rota basis. To ensure a work life balance you’ll get your shift patterns in advance, so you can plan around your hours.

Skills needed to be a Customer Service Representative

We are looking for the following skills and attributes:

  • Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to show attention to detail
  • Ability to establish collaborative customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.
  • A good attitude and the ability to interact with lots of different people.
  • Professional and friendly telephone manner
  • Customer Service experience
  • Experience of working in a target driven environment to a high standard.
  • PC skills, and the ability to navigate multiple systems competently, with ease.
  • A good consistent typing speed
  • Take ownership of situations with positivity, resilience, and a dedicated approach to providing service excellence.
  • Able to work within a fast paced, engaging environment
