Supervises and oversees the Solid Waste Management Customer Service Team. Supervises customer service representatives and provides oversight of contractor's performance in residential collection franchise services.

**Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description.

**Additional compensation based on licensure.

Essential Functions

Direct supervision of three Customer Service Representatives which includes recruiting, training, assigning, scheduling, evaluating and disciplining.

Performs supervisory functions to ensure quality of customer service.

Provides oversight of performance of residential franchise contractors. Coordinates, records, and advises staff members of contractor route audits, field visits and meetings as required.

Maintains files, office records, and official records including but not limited to monthly complaints, telephone calls and hauler tonnage

Receives customer requests; determines and provides appropriate response.

Prepares various routine and special reports, summaries and tabulations. Conducts research as necessary to complete special projects and work assignments.

Maintains leave/attendance records.

Recommends and implements administrative business processes and procedures.

Capable of performing as a Customer Service Representative.

Provides customer service related to the Urban Bear Management Ordinance and may assist in education, compliance investigations and enforcement.

Additional Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.

In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.


Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED, some college, and six (6) years of experience required; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.


Additional Requirements

Capable of operating a variety of office equipment to include: computers, calculators' facsimile machine, and copiers.

Perform a broad range of supervision responsibilities over others. Review or check the work products of others to ensure conformance to standards.

Ability to organize office work and provide technical guidance and training to subordinates while maintaining office records and filing systems.

Ability to meet and deal effectively with personnel and customers from other agencies and the general public via in writing, over the telephone, electronically and face to face. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment that requires the incumbent to be sensitive to change and responsive to changing goals, priorities, and needs.

Knowledge of automated office systems Word, Excel, Outlook, AS400, PowerPoint, Access and applicable software.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
