Job Description Summary:
The Customer Service Chains-Clerk works within a fast-paced environment with diverse responsibility providing world class customer service to both internal and external customers. Primary responsibility is timely and accurately processing chain retail customer orders utilizing multiple billing platforms which include Oracle, EDI, winery directs and various 3rd party solutions.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Expeditiously and accurately process orders daily for wine and spirits from assigned high volume chain retail customers. (e.g., Costco, Ralphs, Trader Joes, CVS, Whole Foods)
  • Orders include semi truckloads shipped to customer warehouses and direct to store.
  • Meet order deadlines to ensure timely delivery to customer.
  • Respond to high volume of emails timely and with accurate information.
  • Assist internal and external customers with inquiries related to the sale/delivery of product, pricing/discounts, product ETA’s, order status, etc.
  • Schedule appointments via phone, email and 3rd party websites.
  • Share data via accurate Excel worksheets.
  • Must have product knowledge and be able to quote discounts, new items, and various other product information to customers and salespeople.
  • Manage competing priorities during workday when planning customer orders.
  • Assist other employees as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Education:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Qualifications:
  • One-year minimum experience in YMCO customer service department with knowledge of our products and suppliers a must.
  • Self-motivated, team player with problem-solving skills and experience entering orders.
  • Must have an excellent attendance record and clean disciplinary record.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, must be able to multi-task.
  • This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as PO’s, invoices, credit memos, statements, email communications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write professional and concise correspondence. This position further requires the ability to speak effectively before managers, customers or employees of the organization.
  • This position requires the ability to organize and prioritize large amounts of orders by customer and expected delivery date.
  • This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. This position also requires the ability to deal with various problems that spontaneously arise.
  • Working knowledge of computer system, Oracle.
  • Proficient with 10-key by touch.
  • Typing of 40 WPM or more.
  • Must have intermediate skills in Adobe, Microsoft Office, i.e. Outlook, Excel, and Word programs.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, must be able to multi-task.
Target Range: $20.00 - $25.00
The estimate displayed represents the typical hourly range for this position based on experience and other factors.
