CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT

Summary:
Metal Sales is the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems with twenty-one locations across America. Our Woodland, CA branch has an opening on our Customer Service team for a Customer Service Assistant and we are searching for a data entry/administrative professional that enjoys being a part of a small but dynamic team.
This is a permanent full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $20.00, depending on experience.

You will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Accurately key in customer orders quickly and efficiently into proprietary software program
- Research and verifying inventory levels for sales orders
- Update and maintain customer information in the database, making any necessary changes to records as needed
- Maintain and follow up on emails as needed
- Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry
- Provide clerical support to the Customer Service Manager as needed
- Work collaboratively within the customer service department and throughout the branch
Job Requirements:
The most qualified candidates will have:
- One year experience in a data entry or administrative support role in a customer-centric office setting
- Phenomenal data entry accuracy and diligence
- Comfort performing routine tasks
- Professional communication skills
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and other applications
- Experience working in the construction or manufacturing industry, ideally with residential roofing and/or siding preferred
- High school diploma or GED
