Duties and Responsibilities

  • Control traffic flow along airport terminal curb
  • Answer questions from passengers and drivers
  • Upon request, operates shuttle vehicle escorting customers to and from the terminal building.
  • Maintains required records and submits reports of the number of passengers assisted.
  • Assists in maintaining cleanliness of terminal area and shuttle vehicle.
  • Maintains a surveillance of parking lot and reports anything unusual (e.g., vandalism, parking gate multifunction, etc).
  • Upon request, assist passengers with transport of baggage.
  • Upon request, will jump start vehicles and pump-up tires.
  • Upon request, will assist wheelchair passengers to the airline ticket counter and from the security exit to their vehicle.
  • Monitors shuttle request forms and cell phone for arriving passenger needs.
  • Assist with snow removal as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to stand for upwards of 8 hours.
  • Ability to work in all type of weather.
  • Ability to operate shuttle vehicle.
  • Ability to lift luggage of various sizes.
  • Ability to prepare basic reports as required.
  • Ability to work varied hours and work independently.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to responsibly perform all job duties in compliance with safety and security requirements.
  • Ability to deal courteously with the public and represent the Airport Authority in professional and friendly manner.
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent customer service and effective working relationships with management, supervisors, co-workers, tenants and the general public.


Experience and Education Requirements

High school equivalent education with six months to one year of work experience in customer service; requires basic computer operations experience, including email.

Special Requirements


  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Pass a pre-hire drug screen and random alcohol and drug test
  • Pass federal fingerprint-based criminal history background check
  • Available for recall during non-duty hours for emergencies, snow removal, or other required duties

Join our fun, customer-focused team at FWA and make our passengers’ lives easier by providing directional assistance in and around the airport terminal and shuttle rides from the parking lot to the terminal among several other customer service tasks. We are looking for several part-time team members who are open to flexible schedules. Shifts vary within the 5:00 am - 12:00 am (or last arriving flight) timeframe. This service operates seven days a week.

This position assists with the loading and unloading of passengers and baggage, assists with maintaining a clean and safe curb line for passengers, provides customer service to airport customers and users; participates in custodial and snow removal efforts when available.
