Duxbury Schools is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Custodian assigned to Duxbury High School.

The work schedule is:

• Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM
• Saturday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

General Duties:

• Cleans floors, walls, and windows, both by hand and by use of a vacuum cleaner and floor machine
• Empties trash, moves furniture, conducts minor maintenance and custodial duties
• Opens and/or closes buildings
• Shovels snow
• Performs related work as required

Supervision: Director of Facilities

Qualifications:

1) Ability to operate cleaning equipment, perform minor maintenance, and move furniture

2) Ability to complete tasks within specific timelines and occasionally with little prior notice

3) Ability to work in group situations requiring teamwork and cooperation and to follow oral and written instructions

4) Possession of class three (3) operator’s license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Motor Vehicles

5) Ability to interact in a professional manner with staff, students, and public
