Position Description: To assist with planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of the Culinary Operations Department in accordance with current federal, state and Annandale’s policies and procedures to ensure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis with the Kitchen and Dining Hall being maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner. Ensures operational excellence by performing managerial tasks, such as scheduling, maintaining inventory, evaluating employee performance and overall observation of Kitchen Management KPIs.

Minimum Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 5 years knowledge and experience of procedures for institutional food preparation, menu planning, food storage, inventory control and sanitation and health standards; must be experienced in supervising other workers. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements. Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting. Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by date of hire. Must become proficient and a super user with our Nutritional Management System as well as have an active Serve Safe Certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares and serves meals, snacks and refreshments for special events, fundraisers and parties.
• Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals on schedule that meet state requirements and Villager’s dietary needs.
• Ensure an on-going quality assurance program to meet health, sanitation and licensing requirements.
• Trains and supervises Food Service Aides.
• Ensures proper scheduling and documentation of work hours of personnel to meet cafeteria demands.
• Delegate responsibility and accountability to food service staff as deemed necessary to perform duties.
• Assist with purchasing of all food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Attends all required and assigned trainings and meetings.
• Performs other duties that may be necessary in the best interest of Annandale at Suwanee, Inc. to meet the personal service and care needs of the facility residents.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English, add, subtract and utilize measuring devices.
