About us

There’s never been a better time to join Christian Aid’s Fundraising & Supporter Engagement Department. We would say that, wouldn’t we? But we mean it. Despite the challenges we’ve all faced over recent years, we have grown income and smashed our targets, making a transformational impact for people in poverty. Your next career step could see you joining our passionate and energetic team of poverty-fighters. We inspire more than 250,000 supporters and thousands of supporting churches to raise more than £40 million annually to tackle the root causes of extreme poverty.

We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, and recognise the value this brings in forming strong, creative and high performing teams. We welcome applications from all sections of the community, and from those with experience from outside of the voluntary sector. And no, you don’t have to be Christian to work here – we encourage people of all faiths and none to apply. We just ask that everyone lives out our values of dignity, equality, justice and love. We value a good work-life balance, so we’re open to part-time and flexible working. We also offer hybrid working for our office-based colleagues and the option of being a homeworker for most of our roles too.

About the role

At Christian Aid we believe in the power of storytelling to build solidarity and inspire movements that tackle some of the biggest challenges we face today. As our Creative Copywriter, you’ll craft stories that create connection and empathy with people across the UK and the communities that we work with worldwide. You’ll show there’s more that unites us than divides us. And you’ll inspire hope that change is possible.

About you

We’re looking for someone who believes in the power of hope. Someone who will work collaboratively to amplify the voices of people living in poverty, speak truth to power and create lasting change. If you’re a talented writer who recognises the importance of dignified storytelling, we would love to hear from you.
