We’re seeking a full-time Creative Engagement Manager for Mather Place in Wilmette, who will create exceptional experiences for residents by highlighting the potential for creative contribution in later life through diverse arts and culture, lifelong learning, and wellness experiences, including facilitating a variety of individual and group creative programs in an Independent Living setting. Requirements include creating strategy and calendar communications for daily programming to ensure optimal engagement, designing and facilitating opportunities for creative engagement through music, art, movement, creative writing, and more, and partnering with residents and colleagues to foster an engaged environment that prioritizes wellness and belonging. This role will directly facilitate a variety of creative programs, maintain a community studio, and develop a variety of programs through an engagement coordinator, independent contractors, volunteers, and interns. Will use strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to be a reliable team member with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling required.

This role is Monday-Friday; 8:30 am-4:30 pm with some weekends or flexible scheduling required for special events.

Mather Place is an independent living rental community for those age 62 and better located in the heart of Chicago’s North Shore in Wilmette, Illinois, a short walk from Old Orchard shopping center. Mather Place includes 179 independent living apartment homes, as well as two restaurants, a fitness center, art studio, library, and more.
