Position Description
To assist Manager with day to day activities of department. Duties include training and mentoring staff, monitoring quality and productivity, and reassigning work as needed to equalize volumes. Conduct department huddles, ensure appropriate staffing in all areas, and offer re-education as needed. Conduct coachings, counselings, and performance evaluations as needed. Must also fill in for staff as needed.
Position Requirements
Associates Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare, or related field and 5 years or more of experience in Healthcare or revenue cycle. Additional years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of minimum education requirement. Leadership experience, interpersonal skills, customer service, financial counseling, insurance verification.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare or related field. 7 years or more of experience in Financial counseling, insurance verification, or admissions. PowerChart, Bed Management,experience with multiple payers, experience with supporting multiple locations. HFMA, NAHAM, or CPC certifications.
