Position Title: Corrugator Forklift Driver


Pay Rate:

$23.83 with a $0.22 shift differential for 2nd and $0.26 for 3rd shift


Category/Shift:

Hourly Full-Time (3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, Monday-Friday some Saturday-Sunday)

Must be willing to work weekends/flexible shift changes

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Discuss any floor space or order issues with previous Fork lift driver at shift start.
  • Complete Safety inspection report. Follow all ZES/ IES/ PIT procedures related to the operations of a Fork Lift Truck.
  • Check Corrugator line up and insure you have an updated lineup check for changes throughout the shift and make necessary adjustments.
  • At least 5 minutes before the start of your shift walk the floor and observe floor space.
  • Check Corrugator lineup for big orders must be prepared to move stock around to make room.
  • Must keep Corrugator discharge line clear of stock so that the corrugator does not go down and Insure all units have order numbers.
  • Keep all Converting machine supplied with stock and understand the converting schedule if possible place orders as close as possible to machine.
  • Maintain Work in Process area in a neat and organized manner keep units neatly stacked on sleeves at all times.
  • Minimize handling damage to stock by being proactive team member by assisting other Corrugator and Converting employees as situations warrant.
  • Follow all waste and dunnage handling procedures and report any unreported waste to your supervisor.
  • Always have a unit on your forks when traveling from one end of the W.I.P area to the other.
  • Assist as needed in other areas of responsibility that maybe designated by your Supervisor.

Requirements:

Candidates must be able to and required to meet the following:

  • 1 – 3 year’s work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating multiple styles of forklifts.
  • General computer knowledge.
  • Effective communication skills (Read, write, and speak English).
  • Work alternate shifts: day, swing or graveyard shifts as needed
  • Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as, but not limited to, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and steel toed shoes
