Kett Engineering is seeking a Corrosion Technician to work at our customer's automotive proving ground in Maricopa, AZ

Job Summary and General Purpose of Position:
Assist the Corrosion Facility Specialist on a daily basis. Assist with the weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance as needed. Act as the back-up for the Corrosion Facility Specialist as the need arises.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with the setup and cleaning of the salt-splash road for test operations
• Assist with maintenance of the corrosion test tracks
• Assist with the cleaning of above ground tanks and rinse the test roads with appropriate confined space training and equipment
• Inspection of test chambers daily.
• Cleaning of test chambers and work areas weekly.
• Periodically polices corrosion test roads for debris.
• Promotes safety awareness and assure compliance with all safety practices
• Assists in building of test fixtures for static parts testing.
• Performs chamber cleaning as required.
• Must be physically able to lift 80 lb. bags salt mix chemicals repeatedly
• Assigned job duties and responsibilities require a high level of skill, accuracy and cooperation.
• Perform work duties within established policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Skills/Experience Ability to apply logical thinking and decision making based on procedures and guidelines supplied in the various task assignments. Must be self motivated and highly organized. Flexibility to perform numerous tasks as requested. Available to work overtime and weekends when required. Basic computer knowledge Must be able to drive a manual as well as an automatic transmission. Tractor operation – Scoop and Gannon, Driver must obtain Grundkurs license, and Forklift certification.

Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to lift 80lb bags repeatedly. Job requires sitting, standing, and bending for approximately 6 – 8 hours on a daily basis. Ability to pass drug screen and physical.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
