Our paralegal position will work directly with all members of our legal team as well as our business leads. Under the supervision of our attorneys, this position will support our business units and matrix functions by helping to draft and negotiate customer, vendor, and strategic agreements, as well as support various legal and regulatory projects as they arise. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide support for a full spectrum of legal, business, and operations needs as required by the company.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited, reputable university
  • Paralegal certificate preferred, but not required
  • 4+ years of experience as a transactional/corporate paralegal at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department preferred
  • Contract Lifecycle Management experience a big plus
  • Media, entertainment, intellectual property, and real estate law experience also a plus

Primary Duties:

  • Help structure, draft, review, and negotiate legal documents across a wide variety of categories, including customer and third-party vendor agreements
  • Prepare drafts of court documents, such as complaints and summonses, and prepare exhibits for trial
  • Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of all company business segments to better advise and provide legal, contractual, and regulatory support as well as assist in furthering business initiatives and strategies
  • Establish, manage, and maintain strong collaborative relationships with a variety of internal clients across all areas of the company
  • Track, manage, and report on the status of all active legal matters
  • Identify legal and business risks, work with appropriate legal and business team members to find targeted solutions to those risks, and implement risk mitigation measures
  • Prioritize, manage, and successfully complete multiple projects on schedule
  • Proactively think through strategies to minimize risks, avoid commercial disputes, and maximize legal rights
  • Coordinate with supervising attorneys, as well as other department attorneys and support staff, in providing legal guidance
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of legal processes, document templates, and training materials
  • Utilize available technologies and tools to improve and promote efficiency, consistency, and compliance with legal, regulatory, and business requirements
  • Assist with various compliance related initiatives
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks such as preparing correspondence, maintaining electronic and paper files, making telephone calls, etc.
  • Researching business and legal issues
  • Other duties as required and assigned
