We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Credit Collections Specialist to join our team. The Collections Specialist is responsible for contacting customers to obtain payment of past due items, assist the sales branches by performing various credit related tasks in addition to responding to incoming customer inquiries pertaining to their monthly statement, dunning letter or other communications.

Hours are 9am-6pm M-F

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact customer accounts to obtain payment
  • Track and notate all customer service activity
  • Assist incoming calls from department hot line
  • Obtain trade references and upload documents
  • Review and respond to credit rejected orders
  • Work as a liaison between Sales and Credit to facilitate the release of customer orders
  • Use system reports to determine customer follow ups needed
  • Research disputed invoices and charges as needed

Qualifications/ Ideal candidate profile:

  • High School diploma
  • 3+ years of collections experience, preferably in a professional environment with business-to-business commercial goods
  • Great customer services skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with systems such as JD Edwards E1 and Oracle CRM are a plus!
  • Good math skills with a thorough understanding of credits and debits, account balances and basic accounting skills.
  • Able to communicate warmly, effectively, and professionally via various formats
  • Able to work under time constraints, multitask, and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail and committed to managing problems through to resolution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
