Description
  • Coordinate tutoring program services; serving as a primary site contact for tutoring services program planning and implementation.
  • Support campus leaders with selection, registration and implementation of tutoring services programming.
  • Coordinate the implementation of partnerships and districtwide tutoring services.
  • Foster a positive working relationship with all tutoring services providers and partners.
  • Review and evaluate student achievement data and the correlation to tutoring services.
  • Review and evaluate budget, contracts, and program amendments to grant awards and coordinate updates with applicable documents.
  • Develop and execute strategies designed to maximize districtwide tutoring services.
  • Build relationships and create a community of support with campus leaders, partners and community stakeholders.
  • Develop, lead, and provide workshops and/or training modules for tutoring providers.
  • Monitor the progress of the district's performance targets and department goals related to mitigating learning loss including tutoring, after school, and summer learning program initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the development of cooperative efforts between all necessary departments and stakeholders to ensure a quality tutoring, after school, and summer learning programs.
  • Organize and participate in meetings/sessions related to extended learning and tutoring program planning.
  • Interpret, prepare, and disseminate information related to tutoring programs utilizing effective technology and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with departmental staff, principals, teachers, and external stakeholders in oral and written form.
  • Develop and maintain databases, reports, and/or documentation that summarize departmental activities and budget related to tutoring services.
  • Communicate pertinent compliance data, expectations and program specifics with stakeholders.
  • Assist with achieving the goal of sustaining a research-based, goal-driven extended learning program for students; keep abreast of technical, legislative, and professional trends related to tutoring, after school and summer learning programming.
  • Ensure appropriate evaluation and rigorous review of all extended learning programs including the development, maintenance, and implementation of data management/governance solutions for evaluation needs.
  • Monitor the compliance with policies, procedures, and extended year guidelines; visit campuses as needed for supporting program implementation.
  • Complete other tasks and duties as determined by the assigned supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university in a directly related field; valid Texas teacher certification preferred.
  • Three years of related work experience.
  • Experience creating and delivering lessons to students.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of tutoring, afterschool program and extended learning program design and implementation goals.
  • Demonstrate general knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Demonstrate ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate to the community, district staff, and the public at large to include. external and internal marketing and program awareness, communication for understanding requirements and deadlines, and service-oriented communications from departmental email account.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from district personnel, parents and the general public.
  • Exemplary skills in presentation, designing, planning, implementing, and monitoring projects/programs in accordance with specified guidelines and policies.
  • Working knowledge of Dallas ISD Departments.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments.
