Tarkett has a great opportunity for a Controls Engineer (Chagrin Falls Plant)
We are looking for a Controls Engineer to join our talented team. In this position you will be responsible for supporting our Rubber Flooring operations by working with our Maintenance, Engineering and Operations teams to develop solutions to problems, troubleshoot equipment, identify improvement opportunities and gather and present data from our operations. The successful candidate will be someone that is not content with status quo and wants to continually make things better.
What this role will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting and Programming (Typically AllenBradley RS Logix, RxLinx, Studio 5000, Panelview HMI, Drives, etc)
- Working with inside and outside resources to identify, troubleshoot, analyze and solve operational problems
- Capital projects, both as a team member and leader
- Problem solving
- Coaching Maintenance techs on how to troubleshoot equipment utilizing basic controls knowledge
- Identifying unsafe acts and comply with existing safety standards
- Creating and maintaining CAD drawings and programs with appropriate documentation
Experience & Education Desired:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related technical degree
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of plant or related field experience with process or industrial machinery
- Experience with low and high voltage with basic understanding of power is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and design controls systems for industrial machinery
