Roles:

Snake River Manufacturing was founded to drive innovation with manufacturing. Our portfolio of highly engineered products drive potato, corn, and bean production as well as support mission-critical snow removal in some of the harshest environments on the planet.

As a engineer for the Electrical Engineering and Controls team, you will be driving and facilitating the design, development, and testing of systems that provide safe and intuitive operator functions, communications, sensors, telematics, controls for motion and hydraulic systems, datalogging, interfacing with high-power diesel and electric vehicle architecture and components and ensuring manufacturability of our products in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support existing product controls and assist with designing controls for new products.
  • Create test equipment in collaboration with manufacturing engineers that perform QC testing on critical system elements.
  • Set departmental goals with ROI backed budgetary goals.
  • Deliver quality and on time work products, that meet requirements and timelines.
  • Work with suppliers and vendor and other SRM employees to deliver cost effective and complete systems.

Skills:

  • Experience integrating data collection and secure wireless communication into DOT or non-DOT off-road vehicles or heavy industrial equipment.
  • Experience interfacing with vendors and OEMs to validate supplier and component capabilities and supply chain.
  • Experience with electrical system simulation for design optimization
  • Experience with high voltage (120-800vdc) traction drive systems, inverters, batteries etc.
  • Software development skills (C/C++, Codesys, LabVIEW, Python, Java, BODA)
  • HMI and UX/UI design for industrial equipment – front end and back end
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing needs, requirements, and challenges.
  • Experience with Bosch Rexroth Motion and Logic Controller
  • Knowledgeable and experienced using Danfoss Plus+ 1 Vehicle Controllers

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development.
  • Strong communication/mentorship skills and experience in technical leadership
  • 5+ years of experience working with electrical system design, industrial controls and controllers.
  • Design for manufacturability and design for assembly experience in different stages of product development and optimization.
  • 5+ years of experience working with multi-disciplinary teams in a product development and production environment.
  • 5+ years of experience using SolidWorks Electrical 3D (preferred) with a strong understanding of electrical schematics.
  • 5+ years of experience with industrial hydraulic controls.
  • Experience working with electrical diagrams/schematics.
  • Successful execution of delivering reliable controls systems that maximize equipment uptime.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must relocate within 60 miles of the main plant
  • Heyburn, ID

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
