EDUCATION: Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance or Accounting. Master's Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years progressive experience in related areas with at least three (3) years in a leadership role within a health care environment.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: CPA and/or MBA preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated skills in planning and implementing accounting systems for a large healthcare provider; budget development; and cost accounting.
- Work requires thorough knowledge of accounting standards/practices, regulatory requirements; and strong computer and analytical skills in working with complex financial and statistical data.
- Effective communication skills, ability to plan and organize work, ability to give and follow instructions, and ability to react and perform in routine and stressful situations.
- Ability to understand and prepare complex written materials, such as accounting standards and practices, financial statements and audit reviews.
- Work requires the ability to work with all staff levels including senior management.
- Ability to establish, maintain rapport and work effectively with external contact including auditors, bankers, consultants, etc.
- Effective analytical, negotiating and organizational skills dealing with information, projects, and people.
- Demonstrated competencies related to innovation, customer responsiveness, empowering people, and leadership excellence and systems measurements.
DESCRIPTION:
Plans, evaluates, and directs implementation/analysis of general accounting, operational/capital
budgeting, banking and treasury, bond compliance, and financial transaction systems to ensure accuracy, efficient utilization of fiscal resources and achievement of long term financial objectives. Through audits and required reporting, assures compliance with all organizational state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and practices.
