Position Overview:

Our company is undergoing tremendous growth both organically and through investments and we are looking for an experienced Controller to execute on our day to day operations as well as support our long-term initiatives. The Controller role will lead the accounting and reporting operations, focusing on improving efficiency and effectiveness within the function while also scaling for growth. The Controller requires a strong technical accounting background and will ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and best practices implemented.

Responsibilities

  • Implement procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP reporting requirements
  • Oversee and standardize monthly accounting close processes
  • Ensure proper accounting of all transactional processes that fall under record to report, order to cash and procure to pay
  • Oversee the expense reporting and control process, including corporate credit card programs
  • Oversee annual financial audit inclusive of developing and maintaining appropriate internal controls
  • Coordinate with outside tax advisors to ensure timely, accurate and complete tax filings in all required jurisdictions
  • Ensure company compliance with all sales and use tax requirements
  • Lead, support and develop the accounting team while driving efficiency and automation to keep up with company growth initiatives
  • Set up reporting process and deliverables for newly acquired companies, and manage purchase accounting efforts, including Opening Balance Sheet and FMV appraisal, if necessary
  • Other ad hoc projects as necessary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • 10+ years CPA and/or Public Accounting experience
  • 10+ years Strong experience in Corporate Accounting covering general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, T&E, and International accounting
  • 5+ years Proficiency in large ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) as well as high proficiency in Excel
  • Must have a high degree of integrity, reliability, sense of urgency and decisiveness
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in order to professionally communicate and effectively manage, train and develop staff
  • Must have proven technical experience in working with auditors, valuation specialists, and other financial reporting leaders
  • Display enthusiasm, adaptability and see challenges as opportunities to grow

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $140,000.00 per year
