Contract Administration administers the solicitation process of construction, non-construction and personal services contracts. The Division also ensures the timely ordering and installation of all furniture and equipment required at new and existing schools and process all SCA purchase orders. Within Contact Administration is the Prequalification Unit that vets all firms wishing to do business with the SCA for credit-worthiness, financial stability, integrity, and licensing.
Job Description Summary
The Contract Specialist is responsible for ensuring all contractors, consultants and vendors meet the qualification requirement and possess the experience to do business with the SCA. The role provides technical assistance to vendors, contractors, and/or consultants in all phases of the prequalification and bid and award process.
Job Description
Responsibilities include:

Prepare bid packets and review and analyze bid documents, applications and documents for accuracy and authenticity

Create schedule for solicitations and coordinate the bidding period in a timely manner

Conduct reference verification and performance evaluations on bidding firms

Prepare materials and maintains files for contract execution.

Perform related duties, as assigned.

Salary:
- Appointment Rate: $63,417
- Incumbent Rate: $72,929
Subject to the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the
appointment rate
for any newly hired employee, or employees with less than two years of active City or SCA service, shall be 15% less than the applicable incumbent rate.
