Job Description
The Marquette, Michigan office of GEI is seeking highly motivated individuals to perform a broad range of engineering technician duties.
Based in scenic Marquette, Michigan, you ll experience the energy that flows from the local landscape, beautiful Lake Superior, and unlimited outdoor activities. Check out this video to learn how balance is baked into Marquette s DNA.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Candidates will work with engineers, contractors and public works personnel while performing construction observation and documentation, materials testing services, and data collection for infrastructure projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma required, AS degree in Engineering Technology, BS in Construction Management, or related field highly preferred.
- Previous experience in construction inspection and testing capacity with experience in soils, concrete, and bituminous paving.
- Certifications from ACI and/or State of Michigan highly desired.
- Previous Resident Engineering Experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and valid driver s license are required.
- Must be willing to travel for both short and long term assignments.
- Preference will also be given toward candidates with experience using AutoCad and surveying equipment.
