Computer System Analyst III

TAMARACK Technologies is seeking a Computer System Analyst III that will provide government cyber services and solutions, technical support, and management support. This position may require some OCONUS travel.

** All offers for this position are contingent upon a successful contract award.

Position Description:

The Computer System Analyst III shall develop and submit Security Control Assessment, Network Penetration Testing Assessment, and Cloud Service Compliance Assessment work plans, reports and related documentation based on the FIPS and the NIST Special Publication Series 800-53, NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-145 Cloud Computing, NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-37 Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-30 Guide for Conduction Risk Assessments, NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-137 and 137A Information Security Continuous monitoring for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make recommendations for applicable security controls/control enhancements that should be included in a SCA.
  • Develop and submit a Security Assessment Plan (SAP) based on an approved list of security controls/control enhancements.
  • Provide security assessment plans including tailored assessment procedures to external service providers that are operating information systems on behalf of or in partnership with the NSF or SOPP.
  • Complete the following communication and reporting activities during a SCA: Addresses all components being assessed, primary on-site location, secondary on-site location, and remote assessments.
  • Conduct weekly status report meeting to address progress for completed and pending system component assessments.
  • Summarize preliminary findings (i.e., raw findings without analysis) and addresses all system components assessed; primary on-site location; secondary on-site location(s); remote assessments; vulnerability scanning; penetration testing; hands-on assessment; interviews; and any other system component assessment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience & Education Requirements: All Requirements must be clearly annotated on resume. Experience must be shown in work history.

  • Current Secret clearance or favorable T3 investigation.
  • IAT Levl II Certification required.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Professional (CISSP) or Security+ certification.
  • Five (5) years of Computerized System experience, to include: Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows based operating system.

Qualifications:

  • Can provide proof of citizenship using the I-9 form and supporting documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, computer, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of producing clear, concise, and detailed documentation.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately execute all steps in a problem-solving process.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSA’s)

  • Personnel working full-time or partially at a Government facility shall complete all applicable training requirements as specified under Mandatory Training, PWS Para 8.0. Contractor personnel may also be required to participate in safety, security (e.g., Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (AT/FP), and operational training exercises (possibly two per year).
  • Individual shall meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certifications/training IAW DoD 8570.
