Responsibilities & Duties:

A Complex Respiratory Specialist liaises with patients, referral sources, and other team members to coordinate patient care. This CSR assists patients in-person and over the phone, as well as maintains patient charts, processes patient orders, creates delivery tickets, and coordinates scheduling.   • Maintains strong working knowledge of products and services offered by company, with a special focus on the tracheostomy and ventilation materials
  • Answers phone calls, returns voicemails, routes calls to proper team members, and corresponds with patients via email
  • Ensures continued complete and accurate patient registration, including demographics and insurance information
  • Performs referral operations such as order intake, customer service, insurance verification, documentation verification, prior authorization, and scheduling
  • Ensures that referrals and other patient requests are addressed or processed in a timely manner
  • Identifies patient needs or desires to recommend appropriate products or services
  • Works with teammates to resolve customer complaints. Escalates complaints to leadership when necessary.
  • Provides feedback to leaders to help improve business practices; assists in creating ways to deliver excellent customer service

Requirements:

About You -

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years customer service
  • Experience with complex respiratory equipment, such as tracheostomy and ventilator supplies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Experience with Medicare and third-party insurance reimbursement preferred
  • Medical Assistant experience a plus
