HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT EXCHANGE POSITION – WORK FROM HOME

Are you looking for a reputable side job where you can truly make a difference in the way future generations view our American way of life, and still earn supplemental income?

At Student Management Group (SMG) High School Student Exchange Program, we view cultural education as more than just a classroom exercise or random social media postings. Our international students arrive ready to share, first-hand, their true culture and foreign lifestyle with their American host families and new communities – and we’re looking for an adult candidate to be the voice and face of SMG to help guide them through their homestay journey by providing ongoing monthly support, mentoring, and advisement.

Perks!

  • Be the ‘go to’ person for SMG in your community, matching and monitoring the international student and host family through their exchange stay.
  • Meet the most wonderful families right in your own community and enjoy the opportunity of visiting them in their home and helping them select the student who will be residing with them for the upcoming school year.
  • Enjoy the the opportunity of working in a professional capacity with administrators of F-1 designated high schools to secure exchange student visa sponsorship for incoming 2023/24 students.
  • Liaise with an experienced regional manager in conducting after-arrival monthly reports on the student’s social and school adjustment, and on handling any student issues that may arise.
  • This 3-5 hour weekly role is a good fit for active or retired teachers, past or present host parents, or just a candidate that enjoys traveling and learning about different ways of viewing the world!

Qualifications:

  • Outgoing and well-connected in his/her community
  • Possess the demeanor to professionally work with local F-1 high school administrators and advocate for the international student
  • Possess a background in recruitment, marketing, education, social work, or international relations
  • Hold an interest in guiding the international student through the cultural host homestay process
  • Be adept with social media or public speaking
  • Complete a background check

Compensation:

The representative role is not considered a weekly salaried position, however representatives have the opportunity to earn free annual international trips and receive a generous 1099 recruitment stipend for each student placed and supervised. Earning potential is up to $20,000 annually. More information on compensation: www.smg-field-development.com/area-rep-frequently-asked-questions.html
