As a Communications Representative , you will own and be responsible for developing, coordinating and editing internal communications across multiple platforms in support of Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD).

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to develop and execute communication plans and strategies that engage a globally diverse audience

  • Ownership of IPSD communications vehicles which includes writing, editing and facilitating the design of internal materials such as newsletters, websites, employee meetings, feature stories and other engaging content.

  • Conceptualize and produce a diverse array of inspirational content about our people, technologies, successes and business capabilities. Content will range from articles and videos, to interviews, Q&As, infographics, and presentations.

  • Provide detailed reports highlighting internal metrics.

  • Ensure all communications plans and tactics are consistent with the company’s strategic vision, IPSD’s Full Power strategy and reflect the Caterpillar brand.

  • Collaborate with other Communications professionals within IPSD and across the enterprise.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or similar discipline

  • 1-3 years of working experience in Communications or related field

  • Process oriented with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while paying close attention to tactical details

  • Works with a sense of urgency in a deadline-driven environment, with the ability to quickly prioritize.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; collaborative mindset and team player

Travel:

  • Less than 10%

  • This position can be located in either Schertz, TX or Seguin, TX and offers a flexible work environment
