Job Summary:

Oversee and manage all media and public relations responsibilities for Pebble Beach Resorts and its various assets and special events, as well as strategically help execute and manage and execute key marketing initiatives across all our properties. The ideal candidate will also help us hone and shape the tone and voice of the Pebble Beach brand moving forward.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Act as primary liaison between media and Pebble Beach Company, including handling all external interview, filming/photography and content creation
• Organize, execute and participate in all media visits to property
• Review requests for use of Pebble Beach Company photography and videography, and issue photo permits and licensing agreements
• Generating fiscal-year planning for PR objectives and strategies
• Act as primary copywriter for Pebble Beach Company, including execution of press releases (with help from our agency), media alerts, executive communications, web and social media
• Manage outside PR Agency
• Develop proactive media/Influencer/partnership program for the entire property
• Oversee all crisis and reactive communication efforts and planning
• Manage public relations efforts on behalf of Pebble Beach Company for annual resort events, including the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, PURE Insurance Championship Impacting The First Tee, Pebble Beach Invitational, Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Pebble Beach Food & Wine, and US Opens.
  • • Generate public relations and marketing strategic plans for events
    • Assist coordination of all media requests, filming and photography on property during events
    • Coordinate all interviews with Pebble Beach Company staff
    • Create key talking points during event for Pebble Beach Company staff
    • Generate post-event public relations and marketing recaps

• Coordinate all public and media relations planning, reporting and metrics
• Develop copy and key messages for Pebble Beach Resorts internal and external collateral, including 17-Mile Drive brochures, on-site key packets and various property pieces

Required Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in PR, Marketing, or related field
• Minimum 4 years in a communications capacity
• Excellent writing, communication and computer skills
• Background in social media management and content planning and ideally development
• Detail oriented, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
• Excellent “people” skills
• Ability to be a team player and work well with other departments as well as having a self-motivation work style
• Luxury Travel and golf preferred
