Brownstein seeks a Communications Assistant to support its firmwide internal, external and digital communications efforts. This position will report to the firm’s director of communications as well as work with the firm’s chief communications and culture officer to implement and support communications initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a background in journalism or communications, preferably in a professional services or government office environment. Minimum of one to three years’ experience in a similar role. Demonstrated strength interacting and communicating with professionals at all levels, internally and externally. Ability to prioritize and see projects through to completion.

This role will hold a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:

  • Post content to social media platforms
  • Coordinate website content updates (bios, publications and articles)
  • Draft and review bios
  • Support the firm’s alumni program including content posting and sharing
  • Evaluate LinkedIn profiles and share improvement suggestions
  • Compile media mentions for weekly In the News recap email and compile firm content for monthly recap and content sharing incentive program
  • CRM updates related to communications
  • Other communications projects and administrative support as needed

The successful candidate will have:

  • Ability to be a proactive self-starter, who understands details within a much larger context and demonstrate good judgment
  • Ability to effectively navigate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, work independently and take initiative
  • Must be team-oriented and collaborative
  • Experience in project management
  • Attention to detail and proofreading
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with social media platforms

Brownstein offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k + match, profit sharing, and vacation/sick/personal time off, additionally this role will pay overtime for hours worked over 40 hours per week. Hybrid schedule offered. We are offering a range of salary for this role from $55,000-$60,000.
