Commercial Sales Representative

Teague Lumber, a Mead Lumber Company, is a leading provider of products to professional contractors, construction builders and remodelers. We have 52 operating locations across 9 Midwestern states. 100% employee-owned. Job Summary

To provide quantities and cost for small, medium and large commercial projects. Commercial jobs include strip malls, multi-plex buildings, apartment buildings, multi-use buildings, hotels and assisted living facilities, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties

• · Create and Maintain Schedules
• · Read and Decipher plan/specifications
• · Create job takeoffs and project proposals
• · Generate quotes, orders, template orders, etc.
• · Perform Jobsite visits
• · Maintain Estimating database

Supervisory Responsibility

Supervisor over other Estimators. This is often limited, as we do not tend to have a huge amount of estimators.

Requirements

• · High school diploma/GED
• · 1-3 years of experience
• · Knowledge of building materials and local codes
• · General construction industry knowledge; including plan and specification reading, building methods and local codes.
• · Math and measurement abilities
• · Self- motivated
• · Written and verbal communication skills
• · Microsoft Outlook and Office
