Freedom Solar Power is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing Commercial team. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of Commercial and Industrial solar and storage projects under the supervision of the Director of Commercial Operations.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Manages Commercial Solar Projects from contract signature to close out.
  • Report to Director daily and weekly on various project stages.
  • Training and onboarding new commercial staff including conducting new employee orientation.
  • Manages and monitors work of subcontractors; provides follow-up to ensure completion of work and accurate, timely deliveries.
  • Prepare turnkey estimates for all sub-trades performing work including electrical and mechanical.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities for the Commercial and Industrial solar and storage installation processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships to understand client and subcontractor needs and expectations.
  • Develop Scope of Work documents for proposal submissions
  • Work with the Project Management team to ensure quality control of bids and estimates.
  • Support Operations team with subcontractor change order pricing review and cost control
  • Maintains records and control all processes related to contracting of vendors including RFP, RFI, insurance and vetting
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and resolve disagreements between parties.
  • Manage compliance of the vendor onboarding process including insurance requirements, NDA’s, tax forms, and other required documents.
  • Actively engages with estimators, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and clients on assigned projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial project or construction management experience.
  • Commercial and Industrial solar and storage project management is preferred.
  • Experience with the bidding process and obtaining cost estimates from Subcontractors is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in estimating, project management, budgeting, and scheduling software (ex. Procore, Smartsheets, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and create efficiencies.
  • A strong analytical thought process with sound judgment and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both on a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with tact and diplomacy.
  • Commitment to Quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
