Londonist is hiring a diligent, commercially minded, and proactive Commercial Sales Intern to gain valuable experience in sales, client relations, digital strategy, and business development in the media industry. This will be a 6-month internship with the possibility of turning into a permanent role. We require applicants to have the right to work in the UK and if working remotely, are able to travel to London occasionally.

As a Commercial Sales Intern, you will be an integral part of the Commercial Team and get to know our daily business. Guided by your manager, you will be assisting in lead generation, client communications, and achieving targets. You will receive regular feedback and guidance to encourage your development.

In this internship you will discover:

• How to research and approach prospective leads that you will have ownership over, and learning how to manage the ongoing client relationship.
• How to prepare pitches and packages relevant to brands to learn about the Londonist offering and different client needs.
• How to secure a booking and the accompanying process with continuous coaching.
• How to use sales management systems to track client comms and bookings, gaining knowledge of specific sales tools and programs.

Skills Required:

• Enthusiasm for the digital media industry and keenness to learn about media brands.
• Experience in sales is preferred, but not essential.
• Fluency in English and good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and be highly organised.
• Revenue-driven and strong self-motivation.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and alone.
• Based in the UK.
