Responsibilities

The Commercial Compliance & Ethics Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and approving field-based expense reports specific to transfers of value with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) across multiple contracted field teams (i.e., sales, nurse, MSLs). The candidate must be able to understand and apply comprehensive knowledge of company and client specific policies/procedures, applicable laws and regulations related to HCP related spend. This is an internal temporary role with potential to lead to permanent hire.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform second-level review and approval of HCP expense reports submitted by contracted commercial field employees across multiple clients.
  • Track/log HCP expense violations, follow up with appropriate coaching emails with field employees for breach of company/client specific policies & procedures. Escalate potential violations to compliance team in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update Daily Expense Report Tracker.
  • Assist commercial compliance and investigation teams by gathering supporting documentation and providing Concur reports related to HCP expense violations.
  • Analyze monthly Concur queries to identify trends and escalate to compliance team as needed.
  • Coordinate with compliance and field management teams to resolve HCP spend issues.
  • Assist compliance team with delivering live new hire and refresher training to field employees.
  • Assist transparency and compliance team in resolving data issues and CMS disputes.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining work instructions, guidance documents and internal training guides.
  • Responsibilities also include providing support on special department projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Apply client specific HCP spend policies and procedures across multiple field teams.
  • Responsible for reviewing HCP expense reports within established deadlines.
This is a 6 month plus contract with potential to convert to a full-time based on performance and business need.

Job Requirements

Along with demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

Required Education:

  • BA/BS Degree and 1-3 years’ experience (1+ year related experience preferred)
  • Travel and Expense Management Experience Preferred

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve, provide clear guidance and documentation on resolving issues.
  • Ability to be proactive, exercise judgment and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate high standards of conduct and ethics as well as appropriate judgment, independence, and discretion.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality involving compliance, company information and activities.
  • Travel and Expense Management Experience Preferred
