This long-term contract / temporary to hire Collections Specialist position is available in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area.Your responsibilities
- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment
- Lead all billing and reporting activities according to deadlines
- Comply with all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations
- Handle inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
- Maintain quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
- Ensure the processing of payments
- Update customer files to ensure data integrity
- Process bankruptcy filings correctly when received
- Record all customer payments to the correct reports
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
- Prior experience working with collections/accounting software
- 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience
- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
- Effectively analyze customer accounts make decisions based on said analyses
- General familiarity with Collections management
- Comprehension of Credit Card Payments
- Practical knowledge of Commercial Collections
- Solid understanding of Collecting Payments
- Previous experience working with auditing
- Strong familiarity with Billing Collection
- Wide ranging experience with Data Collection
- Earlier work involving Debt Collection
- Experience with Credit card transaction processing
- Quality experience with credit collections
- Well-founded grasp of consumer collections
- Collection Processes experience highly desired
- B2B collections experience desired
- Prior experience with cash applications
- Proven knowledge of commercial collections
- Good understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Proven knowledge of customer service
- Command of B2B collections
- Solid understanding of Collecting Payments
- Hands-on experience with Process Credit Card
- Experience with Call Center Customer Service
- Foundational knowledge in Cash Collections
- Foundational knowledge in Superior Customer Service
- Skills in Negotiate Terms
- Deep understanding of Resolve Billing
- Billing experience required
