Job description

We are looking for CNC MACHINIST that will support the production operations by performing low to moderate machining operations.

This is a Direct Hire Position, Full-Time, salary commensurate on the level of experience (we can discuss this during a short-call/phone screen). Please include an updated resume, your availability for a short-call (approx/at least 2 - 5mins) if you are interested in pursuing this opportunity.

• This position typically works under direct supervision, operating one or more types of machine tools such as mills, drill presses, lathes, etc.
• Reads and interprets specific machining instructions from blueprints, part and machine drawings.
• Sets up basic tooling, write and execute basic programs.
• Sets up, operates and programs a broad range of production work involving close tolerance and set ups that are exacting that are somewhat involved and have a low to moderate degree of difficulty.
• Performs other secondary operations such as stamping part numbers and deburring during machine cycle times.
• Inspects machine parts to ensure they meet proper size, shape, or tolerance specs using micrometers and other measuring tools and devices.
• Performs routine maintenance.
• Participates in and contributes to the company’s lean manufacturing journey.
• Assists in other areas and performs additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED required or Technical Degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field preferred

Knowledge/Skills:

• Must be good at problem solving, have good mechanical aptitude, and able to learn and understand job methods and instructions in a timely manner
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes preferred

Experience and/or Other Requirements: 2-3 years of relevant machining experience can be substituted for Technical Degree

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
