The Palliative Medicine & Comprehensive Care program is seeking a Palliative Clinical Therapist to join our dynamic team!
The interdisciplinary team includes 3 social workers, a chaplain,5 physicians, and 3 APPs,. Our comprehensive, expert team, provides specialty consultation throughout the 912 bed hospital campus, comprised of Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Heart and Vascular Institute, and Inova Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
We aim to enhance the provision of palliative care by all service providers by incorporating PC specialists into the fabric of other service lines in the form of committee engagement, policy review and creation, and ongoing educational efforts. This integrated model will lead to transformation of care for patients with chronic, progressive, serious illness and end of life care. Palliative care will improve health outcomes by providing effective, efficient care that is patient and family centered.
Experience:
- 0-1 years required in mental health/substance use disorder treatment, psychoeducational programming.
Education:
- Master's Degree, PhD, PsyD, EdD in mental health, social work, Counseling, or behavioral health-related field or degree.
Certification:
- BLS certified through the American Heart Association.
Licensure(preferred):
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
