Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

The Role

The Clinical Systems Analyst provides application support regarding the Sigmund Aura Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system in a Microsoft Windows environment. The Clinical Systems Analyst provides expertise and experience in maintenance, planning, training, implementation, communication, evaluation of new functionality and on-going process improvement related to the EMR system. The Clinical Systems Analyst will play a significant role in owning the relationship between Compass Health Center and our 3rd party SaaS provider to ensure EMR services meet organizational needs. This role will be the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for driving change, resolving issues in a timely manner, and overseeing quality assurance efforts.

The role will be remote and go to our Northbrook site once or twice a month as needed. Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings.

What you'll do

  • Functions as primary liaison between all cross functional workstreams for new and established project work and system enhancements.
  • Works in partnership with end user groups, team members, and leadership to provide ongoing training support for operational changes and projects that could impact the EMR system.
  • Work within the test environment to build widgets with the EMR’s development tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain an organization wide incident/request and enhancement intake process for the EMR Collaborate with clinical leadership in the development of content in Aura including assessments, narratives and tasks
  • Develop proficiency in Sigmund programming to support the operations in Aura
  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements, and maintains software applications
  • Analyzes requirements, and maintains, tests, and integrates application components
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot potential issues and participate in their resolution with highest customer satisfaction
  • Provides go-live elbow support as needed to meet the needs of the business.
  • Facilitates the development of clinical order sets, e-forms and other patient documentation tools
  • Champions the redesign of clinical workflow and processes essential for the adoption of new technology
  • Participate in audits and reviews of security risks related to HIPAA for protection of Protected Health Information (PHI) and works collaboratively with others to develop improved practices.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical, clinical or business-related field preferred
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a healthcare environment
  • 3 to 5 years of EMR experience (e.g., application build, test, deployment, etc.)
  • Must have general knowledge and competency in Electronic Health records
  • Strong attention to detail with advanced knowledge of clinic processes and workflows
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Candidates in Illinois preferred
