Job Summary:

Duties for the Patient Recruiter will include answering inbound inquiries, placing outbound calls, ensuring that patients are communicated with in a professional and timely manner. Phone screening all potential subjects.
Job Functions:

• Review clinical trial protocol
• Complete protocol training
• Handle inbound inquiries, ensuring that all phone calls are answered in a professional and timely manner.
• Place outbound calls to patients that were either referred or information received as report results.
• Phone screen all potential study subjects against pre-determined criteria for multiple clinical research studies
• Understand each study's specific requirements and protocols such that callers can be appropriately assessed against the requirements of their study of interest, or redirected to another study for which they may be better qualified.
• Data entry into database
• General administrative duties as needed
• Subject scheduling
• Running study queries
• Subject tracking
• Observes study enrollment rates and assists with implementation of techniques to maximize enrollment rates.
• Preparing physician referral letters,
• Utilizing computer generation diagnosis (ICD-9/10)
• Attending medical staff meetings to review study progress, as needed
• Presenting study related information in the community to recruit for studies
• Presenting study related information to health care professionals (e.g., MDs, nurse groups, allied health groups)
• Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications:

• Education: GED or High School Diploma required; post high school education preferred
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution, or a community college course in medical assisting preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of customer service, call center, and healthcare preferred
