has an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Nutrition Manager 1 for Siskin Hospital, a 160 patient rehabilitation hospital with long term care in Chattanooga,TN. Siskin Hospital offers specialized Inpatient treatment programs in brain injury, amputation, stroke, spinal cord injury, orthopedics, neurological disorders, and major multiple trauma, among other illnesses and disorders.

The Clinical Nutrition Manager will :
  • Will manage one dietitian, and may expand to managing the diet office
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and provide diet education to various patient population
  • Acute rehab experience and long term experience preferred
  • Develop and implement of evidence based practice for all hospital patients
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, provide recommendations for medical nutrition therapy
  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Have a proven track record of proactive interaction with the medical team and be an outstanding team player
  • Demonstrate good time management skills and the ability to work in both a team and autonomous environment
  • Have prior experience with electronic charting preferred
  • EFY and Healthtouch experience preferred
  • Actively participate in performance improvement activities
  • Will be available for weekend management rotation
  • Have demonstrated skills monitoring and evaluation of nutrition care services; accreditation and regulatory readiness and review; and establishing and maintaining standards of care
  • Licensure in the state of Tennessee required

Position Summary:
Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a small - medium account. Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.
Key Duties
  • Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met.
  • May provide direct nutrition care to population served
  • Executes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments; and collects and reports outcomes.
  • Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services and promotes nutrition services.
-. - Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).

Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
