CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-Exempt

LOCATION: Central City Community Health Clinic

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the daily activities of medical clinic staff and the non-clinical aspects of the day to day operations of the clinic.

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Chief Clinical and Nursing Officer

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for supporting the work of providers and supervising clinic operations, including the following:

Responsible for providing back-up for front and back office staff, PECS, referrals, and to the CPSP person.

Responsible for coverage of the clinic at all times.

Responsible for supervising and training staff members.

Responsible for preparing and coordinating with audits.

Responsible for updating billing on different programs, including CHDP, SOFP, OB, and CPSP.

Responsible for conducting performance reviews for all staff members.

Ensure clinic compliance including, but not limited to, programs, paperwork, provider notes, calibration, fire code, HIPPA regulations and licensing.

Responsible for the collection of time sheets from employees, scheduling, and in insuring all non-exempt employees are appropriately taking breaks and lunch meals.

Responsible for performing monthly walk-thru inspections.

Responsible for preparing applications for the clinic.

Responsible for performing periodic chart reviews.

Responsible for any cash transactions and mail for the clinic.

Responsible for ensuring that productivity goals are met and for the preparation of weekly productivity reports.

Responsible for ordering office supplies and medical supplies, including but not limited to vaccinations and medications.

Responsible for preparing OSHPD reports.

Responsible for monitoring clinic budget.

Responsible for attending to and resolving patient/staff complaints.

Responsible for scheduling of patients and the creation of new charts.

Responsible for prescription refills.

Consistently demonstrate and uphold CCCHC’s principle of providing quality health and human services to the medically underserved and low-income populations in a culturally sensitive manner.

All other duties, as assigned.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in various PC applications, including E-mail, Microsoft Excel, and Word, Internet and networking devices.
  • Required to know, follow and enforce safe work practices, and be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Required to have knowledge of CHDP guidelines, Immunizations schedule and AAP periodicity table.
  • Reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and a valid CA Driver License.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
  • Certified Licensed Medical Assistant required.
  • Four years of experience working in a non-profit organization required.
