Overview:
Atlantic Health System is currently seeking a Full Time Clinical Lab Assistant I to work at our Atlantic Consolidated Lab in Morris Plains, from 7 am to 3 pm and every other weekend.
Responsibilities:
- Performs accurate patient registration/accessioning of laboratory specimens
- Demonstrates computer proficiency and great communication skills
- Reviews pending logs and investigates/resolves specimen issues
- Maintains department supply inventory
- Distributes slides to the Pathologists
- Handles specimen storage and disposal
- Handles department chemical waste collection/storage
- Other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor/Manager
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED required
Requirements:
- Laboratory/medical experience preferred
