This is a not supervisory position, and involves working directly with children and families. Majority of time is spent in homes and the community rather than in an office setting. Child & Family Support Services (CFSS) is accepting applications for full-time Clinical Coordinator/Counselor developing and teaching Life Skills in the Flagstaff Area.The Clinical Coordinator/Counselor is the perfect position for a determined paraprofessional, caregiver, social worker or behavioral health professional looking for an exciting and rewarding career opportunity working with young people to help them overcome challenges and recognize their potential. No formal experience is needed. We will support you as you learn and develop the skills to make a difference.Job Responsibilities:- A passion for supporting young people with behavioral health challenges to maximize their potential through mentoring, role-modeling, coaching and other individually-tailored interventions.
- Ability to relate to and build positive connections with children and adults and be comfortable working in a strength-based and family-centered way.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling; requires afternoon, evening, and weekend work.
- Willingness to drive to different cities and willingness to work within the homes and communities of the young people and families we support.
This position requires afternoon, evening, and weekend work. Adaptability in scheduling, willingness to drive throughout the county and willingness to work within the homes and communities of the families we support is required.
- Applicant must be 21 years or older.
- Bilingual preferred
- Minimum of four years related work experience or Related Bachelor's degree.
- Reliable transportation is required, including proof of insurance, a vehicle safety check and an acceptable driving record.
- Supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
- Candidates are required to submit a negative substance abuse test, be able to obtain fingerprint and criminal history background clearance, and clear the Central Registry Check Reports of child abuse and neglect. CPR, First Aid, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention are required trainings that are provided by the agency.
- Must be BHT with two (2) years of related behavioral health work experience or related bachelor’s degree. Child and Family Counselor: Master's degree/Licensure preferred
- Compensation: DOE
