We are seeking an experienced retina practice Clinic Supervisor at our Mankato, MN clinic. Candidates must have at least 3 years of Ophthalmology experience (screening and scribing) and preferably in a retina practice.

Responsibilities for a Clinic Supervisor:

  • Continually develops staff skill levels and performance via cross-training, and a commitment to excellence
  • Is personally knowledgeable of all clinical job functions and ensures quality in all clinic operations
  • Ensures full compliance with all policies and best practices.
  • Documents any performance issues, excessive absenteeism or variance from policy or procedures
  • Ensures staff is knowledgeable of ophthalmic terminology, pathologies, diseases and treatments
  • Maintains excellent communication with staff and fosters a positive work environment
  • Schedules the right number of staff with the right skills for the size and complexity of each clinic
  • Schedules the optimal flow of patients, with adequate space between complex and new patients
  • Ensures that all clinic operational tasks are identified, equitably distributed and accomplished correctly
  • Ensures that all supplies and drugs are correctly ordered, properly stored and correctly recorded as used
  • Ensures that all equipment and facilities are cleaned correctly, secure and well maintained
  • Ensures that all business and regulatory requirements are accomplished correctly and in a timely manner
  • Ensures staff is proficient in the use of MDI and other systems. Access and passwords are controlled
  • Ensures that patient records are fully and correctly maintained. All charting and coding is accurate and complete
  • All treatments are administered and documented in compliance with payer requirements
  • Ensures that all operating expenses are controlled and minimized
  • Exemplifies personal integrity, a commitment to excellence, and professional respect in all interactions
  • Demonstrates a commitment to personal and professional growth and development
  • Actively supports and participates in all supervisory meetings and training events
  • Annually reviews, and ensures full compliance and support of the code of conduct & compliance
  • Exemplifies RCM's primary objective to “Care for our Patients as if they were members of our own Family”

Required Skills, Abilities and Attributes for a Clinic Supervisor include:

  • 2+ years of experience in a clinical supervisor role preferably in an ophthalmology / retina practice or optometry practice
  • Be an excellent Team-Player
  • Work cooperatively and respectfully with all doctors, supervisors and co-workers
  • Displays a desire to perpetually learn and grow
  • Is an efficient and highly accurate user of applicable information technology and health care management systems
  • Physically capable of working long hours in fast-paced, often stressful, and potential emergency situations
  • High School degree required
  • JCAHPO certifications are preferred

This is a Full-Time job working Monday – Friday / Daytime hours

Hourly pay rate is based on experience, certifications, and skill level.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
