About Us:
Northern Trail Exp. Inc. has been in business for 29 years. Transporting freight for FedEx Ground based out of Mosinee, WI. We move freight from Mosinee terminal to hubs/terminal in Milwaukee, Rockford, Madison, and St. Paul MN. All linehaul positions are no touch freight, and are guaranteed to be home every day. Linehaul drivers will operate tractor-trailer combination, drivers will pull 53’ trailers and pull double trailers 28’. We have a fleet of 11 trucks (semis), all are maintained weekly and are in great condition. Our trucks range from 2016-2021.
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday (work week)
- Saturday & Sunday (Rotate)
- Home daily
- Consistent year around hours
- Same start time daily
- Start time – 8:30pm -9:00 pm sometimes earlier
- No touch freight
Qualifications:
- Hard Working
- Minimum required of 1 year/100,000 verifiable miles, or 1 year in the past 3 years, or 5 years in the past 10 years
- Must pass the FedEx road test
- Be at least 23 years of age or older
- Hold a valid Class A CDL Commercial Driver’s License required
- Required to have a double trailer endorsement, along with A, B, C, T
- Excellent driving record
- Clear MVR
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required
- Must pass a DOT drug test
- Must have a current DOT medical card
- Will hire out of reparable truck driving schools.
Responsibilities:
- Check vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or preforming minor repairs.
- Doing a pre and post trip inspection, ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Couple or uncouple trailers by connecting or disconnecting electrical lines or manipulating fifth-wheel locks, making sure it’s secure.
- Check conditions of trailer(s) before in route, make sure trailer door is secure and seal(s) are on.
- Read trailer load manifest, make sure that it has the correct trailer #(s) and seal #(s).
- In conjunction with state and federal DOT regulations, maintain E-log.
- Wearing a seat belt at all times, and abide by all safety rules.
- No smoking, no use of phone, unless hands free, no eating during transporting.
- Need to have a hands free devise.
- Collaborate with other drivers as part of a driving team.
- Required to wear FedEx uniforms, no cost to driver.
