SEH is currently searching for a talented Civil Engineer to join our Cheyenne team!

Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You’ll engineer better communities - complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you’ll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. As people walk, drive, bike or commute through a community or across a landscape, your expertise is positively impacting their daily lives.

We are looking for team member that provides exceptional service to our clients, and we have an immediate opening for a Professional Engineer within our Civil Engineering Practice Center located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This has potential to be a hybrid position working in the office and at home.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Client Service Management
• Project Management
• Project Scoping and Contracting
• Leading a design team
• Production of Construction Plans and Specifications
• Leading/mentoring project engineering staff

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 4+ years previous experience and registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wyoming
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc. Occasional overnight travel will be required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience serving as a design engineer or project manager for multiple city infrastructure projects
• Experience with City of Cheyenne Engineering projects
• Ability to develop new business opportunities and win project work
• Previous project management, design and construction administration experience of Civil/Municipal projects including site improvements, streets, drainage and utilities
• Experience in preparing project plans, specifications and bidding documents
• Previous experience in project proposal preparation and client service management
• Previous experience leading a staff of engineering professionals
• Ability to coach and mentor junior level technical staff and Graduate Engineers
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS and proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
