Job description
  • Helps coordinate CISM (critical incident stress management) services, including statewide network of CISM peer team members, by recruiting & provide training & support.
  • Provide direct CISM services shares info about services available agency staff.
  • Conducts training & develops research related to CISM for the agency, w/other SCDC staff.
  • Provides input to administrators to assist in policy & standards development.
  • Provides direct services to SCDC staff & PCIS (post critical incident seminar events for the agency.
  • Coordinates CISM peer team activations, provide 24-hour response to support staff following critical events.
  • Function as an expert in CISM for the agency.
  • Duties includes compiling data, producing reports, outlining program related achievements & stats.
  • Participates in job related training as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must work flexible hours & be available for on-call services including nights, weekends, holidays as needed.
Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and relevant program management experience.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Professional experience related to the position.
  • EMDR Certification preferred.
